Abstract

Lots of work accidents occur during construction work caused by negligence of people, machines and the construction project environment itself, which can cause workers to be injured and cause fatalities. As is the case with the construction project of the Pasar Pelita Sukabumi and the Altha Medika Hospital Construction Project, Parung Kuda is a project that has potential hazards such as falling from a height, being hit by materials and tools, formwork collapsed, hit and hit by heavy equipment. All potential hazards have a very high risk can cause injured workers and even die, therefore it is necessary to analyze occupational safety and health risks in the construction project using the Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) Method. The method aims to identify and analyze potential hazards there is every work done to minimize and prevent work accidents. From the results of the analysis conducted on the two construction projects such as the Sukabumi Pelita Market Development Project, there were 42 potential hazards including 6 potential hazards that have extreme risk levels such as sling tower crane breaking, 13 potential hazards with high risk levels such as falling materials and tools, 11 potential hazards with moderate risk levels such as falling scaffolding and 12 potential low risk hazards such as scratched wire and iron. While the analysis carried out on the construction project of Altha Medika Hospital in the field of horses obtained 37 potential hazards including 5 potential hazards with extreme risk levels, 8 potential hazards with high risk levels, 11 potential hazards with moderate risk levels and 13 potential hazards with low risk levels. To prevent and minimize potensial hazard that have extreme and high risk levels, risk control is needed, namely by Subtitution, Elimination, Engineering Control, Administrative and Personal Protective Equipment.
